Symposium outline (referred from Hiroshima University website):
The people of Japan have made a concerted effort to the ongoing reconstruction of Fukushima along with the support of people from around the world. Despite these extensive efforts, it can be said that the reconstruction has just begun. The 6th International Symposium will focus on the role of the mediator during the Fukushima recovery process to bridge the gap that exists between scientists and the local community.

Ando will make a 15-minute presentation
"Forming Common Language after the NPP Accident -- from Experiences in Suetsugi District, Iwaki City --"
in the symposium on 12 February, and then will attend the panel discussion as a panelist.

Admission is free but prior registration is needed via Hiroshima University website.

We heard that simultaneous translation will be provided.

Other speakers from Fukushima prefecture, including Dr. Makoto Miyazaki at Fukushima Medical University who has been our advisor from very early days of our activities, are serving in the front line of their own stages from just after the disaster. We think this is a precious opportunity to be able to listen to such front-runners from Fukushima in western Japan.

We would appreciate if you could come to the symposium.
